Our Story
Mamoo Crafts is a contemporary embroidery studio dedicated to transforming traditional arts into beautiful and timeless decor. Based in Vancouver, Canada, all our products are 100% handmade from sustainable materials sourced mainly in Canada and Brazil.
Whether you choose from one of the readily available items in our store or decide to commission a personalized art, each piece designed at Mamoo is unique and extra special. We carefully select and match fabrics, threads, paints, and formats to best tell the story of each design and your own.
Livia Costa is the owner, the artisan, and the creative mind behind Mamoo. After more than 15 years working as an Architect and Interior Designer, she decided to translate her passion for traditional arts and home decor into a business. In August 2020, Mamoo came to life and has been delivering love through meaningful embroidery art ever since.
Sustainability & Community
At Mamoo Crafts we are committed to being sustainable and reducing plastic use as much as possible. We use mostly biodegradable packaging in all our products and care deeply about the materials we source, so they are either recyclable or reusable. Most fabrics used at the studio are 100% raw cotton. Embroidery hoops and stands are made from bamboo/Pine Wood. We are also committed to supporting artisans from Brazil. We partner with selected embroidery and design artists creating new sources of income and helping improve their services through training and partnerships.
Personalize Your Embroidery
Most Mamoo customers are looking for personalized embroidery art, and we love that! All custom pieces are created following the client’s vision, color choice, and size preferences. After the design is approved, it usually takes 4 weeks to be completed. We deliver locally in Vancouver or ship to Canada and the United States.
